My first camera came as a gift from Santa and the fun hasn’t stopped since then. Some of my first pictures were of my sisters and me playing dress up. All of our crazy antics led to some really great photos. I think the best photos come from the times when folks are having fun celebrating life. Each of my sessions is an extension of what I learned playing dress up; taking photos is fun. With my clients, we don’t necessarily play dress up (unless they really want to) but we talk about what is fun and natural for them and we take photos there and about that. For your little boy it could be on a 4-wheeler in the backyard, or with his favorite trains at a train station. Your little girl, who loves to dance, can twirl until her hearts delighted under a sweeping live oak tree in her favorite dress. Wherever fun is to be had, I am there.

Of course my current camera isn’t the same one I got from Santa. After taking courses at McNeese State University, my love affair with photography continued to grow and developed into Jouett Photography in 2001. Through experience and research my knowledge and application of photography is continually growing.  At McNeese I also met the man who would become my Husband and in 2007 we welcomed our beautiful little girl into the world. I find myself constantly taking pictures of her.

My many satisfied clients have had fun photos taken in several different locations in the Lake Charles and Baton Rouge areas.  As a photographer I love what I do.  I love making my photography sessions fun and enjoyable. My goal is to make your experience easy, convenient, and affordable.
